THE MEDIA
The media communicate information to people. It includes press, tv, radio and internet.
Press = readable materials
Papers – it is the oldest kind of media and we can say that they are nowadays a little old-fashioned, because a lot of people use the internet for reading the news. The newspaper are issued every day or week.
Broad sheets – it is serious newspapers where we can read articles based on the truth or research. There are also reports – it´s mean that somebody is in the area and it is based on the latest facts. We can find there what happend in our country or in the world, interview with famous people, advertisement and there are columnes about culture, economics, sports etc.

Tabloids – the articles there are more attractive for reading but you can not rely on the information. Tabloids are based on gossips about famous people.

Magazines – they are distributed weekly or monthly and contain information about hobbies. They are many types of magazines but every refers to different topic. For example about life style – for men cars and for women it is about fashion, there are also magazines for children and teenagers.
TV
Channels – they plan the programmes for every day. There are two types
Public – owned by state and paid from taxes and commercials. They have to follow a particular law regulation.
Private – are financed from advertisement, which means there are many commercial breaks. There depends on the number of viewers.
Programmes – are made by channels
Their prime time is about half to eight when the news starts
After news there are feature films
Reality shows – real people
Talk show – it is very popular, there is host who talk with his guests
Cartoons –animated fairy tale in the morning
Morning shows – based on news, traffic or daily topic
Magazines – garden, cook, DIY
Quiz shows
Series- detective (logical), crime
Sitcoms- people are sitting there and watch comedies in the real time
Bed-time story – for children
Radio – their prime time is in the early morning until about 10 am. Because people are listening the radio the most in car when they are driving to work.
Station – we can listen to music, traffic situations, weather forecast or discussion with other people about some topics.
Public – pay by state and taxes, they have to follow law
Private – paid by commercials, they are more objective
