In general botany explain cytology (plant cell structure on the level of electron-microscopy, histology (systems of plant tissues) and organology (morphology of basic organs: root, stem, leaf) and reproduction organs. In systematic botany explain principles of taxonomy and hierarchical classification and demonstrate some representative, mainly agriculturally important plants and crops from different groups. These groundings are necessary for all subjects connected with crop production, horticulture, forestry, tropical botany, protection of plants and other specialization. In Angiosperms with emphasis to the useful plants in the countries of students origin.

Získané způsobilosti

Znalosti:Student knows and is able to describe the basic anatomical and morphological structure of the plant body. Student can distinguish the various structures at the cytological, histological and organ level and is able to include them in the general context of growth and development of plants. He/she knows the system of non-vascular and vascular plants, fungi and fungal organisms, taxonomic units and botanical nomenclature. He/she can define, describe and identify taxa at different levels, in particular orders, families and species. He/she can determine and classify the different major groups of tropical and subtropical plants, fungi and fungal organisms. He/she can explain the importance and usage possibilities of main plant species of the tropics and subtropics - such as food, medicinal, toxic, allergenic, energy, weeds, etc.Dovednosti:Student can identify based on diacritical characters important in tropical and subtropical taxon at the species level and classify it in higher taxonomic units. He/she can prepare microscopic water preparation using basic techniques and interpret the anatomical structures. He/she can prepare, implement and compile report on the outcome of microscopic observations at the cellular and histological level. He/she can recognize and identify the phenomena in the field conditions. He/she can practically apply basic methods of collecting and preserving plant material. He/she is able to explain the relationships of individual structures of the plant body and their function, use the basic practical methods of observation in the field.Kompetence - komunikace:Student can operate both under the leadership and the teamwork. Student is able to communicate in Czech with the efficient use of terminology of general systematic botany with an emphasis on tropical and subtropical plants. He/she can formulate, discuss and present his/hers own views; can clearly communicate information, ideas, specify problems and propose possible solutions.Kompetence - úsudek:The student is able to access his/hers work creatively and with initiative. He/she is able to assess, evaluate and apply information resources (literature, documents, databases, web sites, etc.), to form opinion student use his/hers own experience and experience of experts and is ready to organize the work for junior stuff and effectively assess and monitor it.
