Cíl

The goal of this subject is to enlarge basic knowledge from the grammar school in General, Inorganic and Analytical Chemistry according to the requirements of the successive chemical and professional subjects. In the laboratory training courses to acquaint the students with practical work. General, Inorganic and Analytical Chemistry is the basic subject of general background and it is the first part of the chemistry education for the students Faculty of Agrobiology, Food and Natural Resources. It is focused on the composition of the atom, chemical bond, chemical reaction and influences on its course, equilibrium in solutions of electolytes and dispersion systems. In inorganic chemistry the attention is first off all focused on compounds of interest in agriculture. Most time is devoted to analytical chemistry. The students get to know analytical system, especially sampling, storage, preparation of samples for analysis and processing analytical data including their interpretation. The students learn the theoretical bases of common enlarged classical methods and select instrumental methods used in agricultural and foodstuff practice. In the laboratory training the students practical get acquainted with methods used in environmental analysis and methods used in agricultural and foodstuff practice. The laboratory training is completed by practise of inorganic nomenclature and basic calculation in chemistry generally.

Získané způsobilosti

Znalosti:Students can understand the basic principles of General Chemistry, consideration of the chemical action and their interrelationships. They have an overview of the system of chemical elements, and know the chemical properties of the selected elements, including the structure, properties and reactivity of their most important compounds. Students know basic concepts and methods of qualitative and quantitative analytical chemistry and the theoretical basis for the means of the analytical methods commonly used in agriculture and food industry, understand the nature of the analytical system. They take control of the nomenclature of inorganic and complex compounds, and can build a simple chemical equation and solve basic chemical calculations. Students know the basic rules of safety at work in chemical laboratory.Dovednosti:Students can apply the selected basic knowledge of General, inorganic and analytical chemistry in agricultural practices and at the same time can apply the basic practices common laboratory practice in experimental activities in chemical analysis laboratory. They realize the chemical and the numeric applications to solve practical tasks within analytical chemistry. Students are able to choose the appropriate analytic-sampling system for the determination of selected analytes in biological material and to implement it in accordance with standard operating procedures. They can draw up a report on the results of analytical determination.Kompetence - komunikace:Students take control of the nomenclature of inorganic compounds. They know the basic concepts used in general chemistry and the wider technical terminology in the field of qualitative and quantitative analytical chemistry. They can clearly communicate information, their ideas and problems with the use of professional instantiate terminology within the scope of the subject.Kompetence - úsudek:Students understand the acquired knowledge in a broader context. They can apply the gained knowledge in solving of specific problems in consequential chemical subjects and speciality, and in agricultural practices. On the basis of knowledge of the course of the basic chemical reactions they are able to draw up a chemical equation and solve common chemical calculations required in professional practice.
