Znalosti:Student obtains the information about life organism and cell as the basic biological unit on the molecular level. S/he obtains the basic information about molecular composition of cellular components. S/he knows the importance of individual cell components from the view of biochemical processes. S/he can describe the specific structure of essential biomolecules and their building blocks in relation to biochemical processes. S/he obtains the overview of metabolic changes, synthesis and degradation of the essential nutrients, which serve the chemical energy production and the construction of their own cell compartments. S/he has the knowledge about the enzyme classification and s/he can explain processes and regulatory mechanisms of enzyme reactions. S/he obtains knowledge about the intermediary metabolism, the metabolic relationships and mechanisms, which regulate the metabolite flow of individual paths.Dovednosti:S/he can describe the importance of the composition and function of living matter in the wider context. S/he is aware of the links of biochemistry to a number of science disciplines as the cells and molecular biology, genetics, physiology, immunology, botany, microbiology and others. S/he can describe and explain the biochemical processes in the living cells on the molecular level. S/he can find the metabolic relationships in the individual metabolic processes and describe the defect of substance conversion. S/he can define the term of normal and abnormal metabolism and related pathological processes. S/he can use the obtained knowledge for the study of other science disciplines. S/he can apply the selected analytical methods used in biochemistry. After graduation from the course of biochemistry, s/he obtains an integrated overview of the importance of chemical substances in the living organism.Kompetence - komunikace:S/he performs the work separately. S/he is able to work with the recommended science literature and with the available science databases. S/he can take advantage of the lessons learned for the processing of the literary review, s/he can evaluate the results of his or her work and s/he can draw conclusions clearly.Kompetence - úsudek:In the range of practical exercise, s/he works as a team member separately. S/he communicates in the Czech language and is in contact with foreign students in English predominantly. S/he expresses his or her knowledge and experience clearly and intelligibly. S/he presents the results of his or her work in writing and is capable of their electronic presentation.
