Subject objectives To afford theoretical and practical base for following subjects. Concentrate on organic evolution, general features, adaptations in environment, zoogeografic regions, ecologic distribution main groups of animals, use in Tropics and Subtropics. Subject description In selected groups of the Animal Kingdom are stressed the general features, morphology, locomotion, feeding and digestion, behaviour, reproduction, ecological distribution and life of populations. Adaptation to environment in ecosystem suitability, quality, bioindication and bioregulation. Importance for the health and animal and man nutrition in conditions of Palearctic, Ethiopian, Oriental and Neotropical regions. Protection of rare and endangered species, utilisation of domesticated animals.

Získané způsobilosti

Znalosti:The student knows and is able to describe the basic morpho-anatomical structure of the bodies of the main groups of animals. He knows the system of Protozoa, Sponges, cnidarians, flatworms, molluscs, annelids, arthropods and vertebrates. He can identify groups important in terms of biomonitoring and environmental protection. It can distinguish the major groups of organisms as indicators of the environment, knows the important parasites, reservoirs and vectors of infectious diseases. He makes sense of the status of animal pests and bioregulators in nature, the impact on animal production and soil fertility. He knows the importance of animals in the fields of hydrobiology, environmental protection.Dovednosti:The student can identify on the basis of critical characters individual taxa at the species level and to include them in higher taxonomic units. He can prepare native microscopic slides using basic techniques and interpret the anatomical structures. He can prepare, implement and compile the report on the outcome of microscopic observations at the cellular and histological level. He can recognize, name and from the zoological point to evaluate appropriate features under field conditions. He can practically apply basic methods of monitoring and conservation of animal material. He is able to explain the relationships of animal body structures and functions, including practical use of basic observational methods in the field.Kompetence - komunikace:He can operate both under the leadership and the teamwork. Is able to communicate within their expertise, skills and proficiency in the Czech language with efficient use of specialized terminology of the subject. He can formulate, discuss and present his own views, he can clearly communicate information, ideas, specify problems and propose possible solutions.Kompetence - úsudek:He takes his work creatively and aggressively. He is able to identify and apply information resources (literature, documents, databases, web sites, etc.) and further classify and evaluate the results and conclusions of the professional and scientific research in a coherent form in this subject and related subjects. It is able to plan, promote and guide the work of other team members.
