The field practice of zoology, botany and ecology supplements lectures with demonstration of representatives of our fauna and flora in their habitats; sampling, preparative and preservation methods of biological objects are also demonstrated as well as mehods of synecological analyses.

Znalosti:The student can use the basic methods of monitoring, collection and preservation of animals. He master the methods of sampling plankton, zoobenthos and fish, invertebrate sampling by sweeping, beating, individual collection, pitfall and light traps. He is familiar with Malaise and emergence traps. He can monitor ticks by flagging, can work with Moericke´s dishes. He knows the principles of Berlese-Tullgren apparatus. He can distinguish the site quality using methods synecological analysis of samples.Dovednosti:He can independently use common biomonitoring methods, methods of collection and preservation of the major groups of animals. He is capable of using advanced research methods of synecological analysis to estimate the quality of habitat. He is able to independently and creatively solve complex problems using appropriate theories, concepts and methods of Zoology. On the basis of diversity index is able to characterize the diversity of species and other characteristics of communities and interpret the data obtained for conservation or other management. It is able to acquire new information in the field conditions.Kompetence - komunikace:The student is able to operate under the leadership and the teamwork. He is able to act within their professional knowledge, skills and proficiency in Czech and foreign language, using terminology of the subject. He can clearly and persuasively communicate his own professional opinions to experts and the wider public.Kompetence - úsudek:He can operate both under the leadership and the teamwork. He is able to communicate within his expertise, skills and proficiency in the Czech language with efficient use of specialized terminology of the subject. He can formulate, discuss and present his own views, he can clearly communicate information, ideas, specify problems and propose possible solutions.
