Cíl

The main aim of the study is to understand complex processes in agroecosystems on a high hierarchical level using general ecological theory. This results in design and management of sustainable agricultural systems. Students should be able to acknowledge the impacts of both biophysical and socio-economic environment on the production and other functions of agroecosystems.

Získané způsobilosti

Znalosti:The student has basic knowledge of general ecology with stress on those laws of nature which may be applied on human managed ecosystems (agroecosystems). He understands complex processes in agroecosystems on a high hierarchical level using general ecological theory. He knows basics about agricultural systems, their determinants, aims and functions. He can use general theory for solving practical problems.Dovednosti:The student is able to solve independently and creatively the complex problems of agroecosystems. He acknowledges the impact of both biophysical and socio-economic environment on the production and other functions of agroecosystems. He can apply the knowledge of evolutionary ecology and evolutionary principles to practical problems of management of biotic resources. He can compile and use the basic ecological models concerning pest management and conservation biology.Kompetence - komunikace:He can operate both under the leadership and the teamwork. He is able to communicate in Czech with efficient use of specialized terminology of the subject. He can formulate, discuss and present their own views; he can clearly communicate information, ideas, specify problems and propose possible solutions.Kompetence - úsudek:He is able to access its work creatively and aggressively. He is able to assess, evaluate and apply information resources (literature, documents, databases, web sites, etc.), the formation of discretion also uses his own or external expert´s experience. He is also ready to organize the work of subordinate co-workers and effectively assessed and monitored their work.
