Cíl

The main object is to acquire the fundaments of hydrometeorology in necessary purview to meteorological phenomenon and processes which affected the hydrological cycle of water in the nature from a meteorological viewpoint. We pay attention to water in earth atmosphere, clouds and precipitation origin and evolution, precipitation measurement and evaluation. The students will be informed about dangerous meteorological phenomenon related to heavy precipitation. They will be informed about methods of detection and prediction of precipitation and dangerous phenomenon.

Znalosti:The student knows and is able to describe main types of air masses, atmospheric fronts and related weather conditions, knows the main types of clouds, their origin, and the processes leading to their development. The student is familiar with background materials for weather forecasting and reporting and orientates himself/herself in these materials. The student knows the types of precipitation, the options and techniques used for the forecasting of their development and occurrence. The student understands the hydrometeorological aspects of flood generation and possibilities of their forecasting. He/she is aware of the existence of dangerous hydrometeorological phenomena and understands the methods of forecasting of their generation, occurrence, and development. The student knows the principles of hydrometeorological measurements and observations. Dovednosti:The student is familiar with hydrometeorological background materials and reporting. He/she is able to use these materials to evaluate the effect of hydrometeorological conditions on farm activities and water management. The student is able to identify main types and sorts of clouds. The student can use and apply the international cloud classification. The student is able to carry out not only the standard hydrometeorological measurements and observations but also special field measurements responding to his/her own particular interest.Kompetence - komunikace:The student is able to work individually, under the supervision and as a part of a team. The student is able to communicate effectively using the scientific hydrometeorological terminology. The student is able to formulate, discuss, and present his/her opinions. The student can present information and ideas clearly. The student is able to define problems and propose feasible solutions.Kompetence - úsudek:The student is able to approach his/her work creatively and consistently. The student is able to explore, evaluate, apply and combine different types of information sources (scientific literature, documents, databases, websites etc.) The student is able to utilize his/her experience in order to formulate and present his/her opinion. The student is able to organize work of others and to evaluate and control it.
