Cíl

Character and significance of plant production, position of plant production in the Czech and world agriculture. Aspects of different approaches to farming in differently utilized regions. Production processes of plants. Impact of individual agroecological factors on yield and quality of the field crops. Structure of cultivated field crops, their economic importance, production, quality and possibilities of utilization.

Znalosti:Graduate is able to characterize importance and status of plant production in agriculture. He (she) can define a sustainable development of agriculture, describe production and non-production functions of agriculture. He knows commonly used plant production systems (production, ecological etc.). He (she) knows general principles of the main field crops growing (cereals, legumes, oil crops, root crops) at the arable land, basic patterns of yield formation and participation of agroecological factors in the yields. He (she) can characterize the requirements and the demands of the most important field crops on environmental conditions. He (she) is able to evaluate impact of plant production on environment. He (she) can define requirements of qality production of raw materials for food and other industry, knows possibilities of alternative use of the plants.Dovednosti:Graduate knows importance of agrobiological control in plant production, he (she) is able to use it in field conditions. He (she) knows basic methods of evaluation of plant products quality. Graduate knows and is able to describe basic anatomicaly-morphological composition of cereals, legumes, oil crops, root crops, trifoliums and grasses. He (she) is able to distinguish cereals, legumes, oil crops, root crops (knows their seeds, fruits, flower heads and other parts of plant. He (she) is able to prepare a protocol about result of seed quality evaluation.Kompetence - komunikace:Graduate can work under guidance or in a team. He (she) is able to communicate in English language with using of basic agricultural terminology. He (she) can discuss and present his (her) own opinions, he (she) is able to communicate information, ideas, to specify problems and to propose possible solutions. He (she) can formulate and present basic opinions about plant production problematics and its relation to environment.Kompetence - úsudek:Graduate is able to work creatively and aggressively. He (she) is able to evaluate and apply information resources (agricultural literature, documents, databases, web pages etc.), he (she) uses his (her) own experiences and experiences of professionals.
