Cíl

This subject deals with alternative accesses to farming in agriculturally - forest landscape, regarding principles of sustainable agriculture. Attention is payed i.e. to plant and animal production in organic farming oriented on rural development and on production of quality and safe foods in accordance with EU. Part of the subject is problematics of renewable resources of energy, biomass use and the plants suitable for its production. Non-production functions of agriculture and specifics of farming in protected and LFA areas are characterized, too.

Znalosti:Graduate knows problematics of sustainable development. He (she) has theoretical and professional knowledges of principles of agricultural production (plant and animal). He (she) can define agroecosystem and its function in dependence on biotic and abiotic factors. He (she) knows agroecological and environmental aspects of agriculture in relation to multifunction concept of agriculture. He (she) knows historical context of alternative agriculture origin. He (she) can analyze and describe differences between agricultural systems and technologies including negative impacts of intensive agriculture on environment.Dovednosti:He (she) can analyze deficiencies and propose operative changes in an enterprise economy under specific conditions regarding environmental aspects of agricultural practice. He (she) is able to obtain new information at a field. He (she) is able to evaluate obtained data, to plan, design and contribute to realization of a conversion of agricultural enterprise according to type of production, environmental conditions and other views. He (she) can evaluate possibilities of use of targetedly produced biomass for energetic use.Kompetence - komunikace:Graduate is able to work under guidance or in a team. He (she) is able to negotiate in English language and to use professional terminology of specific subject. He (she) can work with facts and information resources and is able to communicate his (her) own views to professionals and public.Kompetence - úsudek:Graduate has initiative and ability to utilize complex of obtained scientific knowledges in combination with searching and using of information resources in his (her) work. He (she) is able to plan, support and manage activities of team members. Due to obtained knowledges he (she) is able to find work in scientific research, state management or private sector.
