Cíl

The aim of the course is to explain main issues dealing with cultivation, processing and utilization of aromatic, medicinal and spice plants (MAPs) in both small and large scale management. Further, the course will cover topics related to quality requirements of herbal drugs according to different processing purposes. Students will be able to recognize MAPs in situ and in single or multi-ingredient preparations. There will be excursions to growers, producers and processors of MAPs and related products.

Získané způsobilosti

Znalosti:The student is able to describe individual MAPs from the botanical and morphological point of view, in a fresh or processed state. He knows critical assumptions for production of collected and cultivated MAPs, the legislative, regulatory and incentive measures for different production system of MAPs. He knows the possibilities for application of the individual plants.Dovednosti:The student is able to design and evaluate the production suitability of particular MAPs in different conditions, is able to provide the necessary requirements leading to the production of high-quality plant material.Kompetence - komunikace:The student can operate under the leadership, separately and in teamwork in different stages of the production and processing chain of MAPs.Kompetence - úsudek:He is able to form his own opinion and uses its own experience as well as the experience of other professionals.
