Their knowledge will help students to build a base for original thinkink and it enables them to take part in a specific research activities. Participants are aware of critical problems in this field of reseach, as well as in interdisciplinar spheres like phytogeography, pedology and systematic botany. They can understand what are the relationships of biotic and abiotic factors influencing plants and their populations. They understand methods of forest community mapping for the requirements of forest management.Dovednosti:Students can apply their knowledge in a specialised skills important for resolving of research problems, they are able to develop new knowledge and procedures and they can integrate knowledge from different fields into practical applications: To work independently on the level of small and middle-sized companies, as leaders of creative teams in the field of middle-sized management and state governance as well as on the international level and in NGO. They can employ their special knowledge in the fields of pedology, systematic botany, dendrology and forest ekology and they can perform forest type mapping in the field independently and in a creative way. They can orientate themselves in different map outcomes and extract information from it dealing with the particulararea or habitat perfectly. They are able to apply their knowledge in the realisation of forest management plans connected with specific management activities (forest cultivation, mining activities).Kompetence - komunikace:Students can describe species characteristic using scientific terms. They are able to present their own hypothesis. Students are able to follow scientific discussion and contribute with their own original opinion.Kompetence - úsudek:The participants gain abilities to make a proper evaluation of productive potential and of non-productive functions of forest habitats, all based on the created forest types classification. Also, they can evaluate the possible proneness of forest habitats in question to degradation.
