Cíl

Information about the most important insect pests and fungi diseases and survey and control methods. The goal is to teach students current problems and trends in forest protection in tropics and subtropics. At present (because of low possibility of exercies in tropics/subtropics) the main teaching method are lessons given by teachers with international practise and study on the base of available textbooks and papers (internet).

Znalosti:Graduates have the theoretical knowledge in the field of forest entomology, forest phytopathology and other components of forest protection (abiotic factors, harmful vertebrates, pesticides and their applications), they know the most serious insect pests, fungal pathogens and their impact on the economic losses in forestry. They know the laws of impact and damage caused by abiotic factors, vertebrates and weeds. They understand the theories, concepts and methods that correspond to the job of management: in forest production, services, commerce and government. They have a basic knowledge of protective measures against abiotic damaging factors, the main types of insects, vertebrates operating losses in the forest, weeds and fungal diseases.Dovednosti:They are able to apply their knowledge in practical applications: stand at the small and medium-sized enterprises, as a member of creative teams in the field of operational and middle management. They can reliably apply its expertise in application of theoretical knowledge into practice. In addressing the complex and unpredictable problems progressing professional approach and are able to find qualified professional assistance. They able to build upon the knowledge in the realization of its business plan and operating their own businesses.Kompetence - komunikace:They lead a multi, complex and diverse groups, or effectively operate under bridges or in partnership with qualified experts. You can formulate and present their own views, reflecting the views of other members of the group, clearly communicate information, ideas, problems and solutions to both professionals and laymen using a range of multimedia techniques.Kompetence - úsudek:They are able to preview the selected personality constructs. Boundedness is aware of their competencies in the area. They are familiar with the need for transferring skills from industry professionals. They are able to review and develop performance of self and others, to supervise the routine work of others, taking some responsibility for the evaluation and improvement of work activities.
