Získané způsobilosti

Znalosti:Students have theoretical knowledge about methods and technologies of forest regeneration respecting the optimization of value production on the one hand and fulfilling the other forest functions on the other hand. They know main criterions for tree selection for final cutting and general solutions for time and spatial arrangement of forest regeneration. Students have the knowledge of all important silvicultural systems and forms of forest, as well as kinds and methods of forest stand reconstruction (stand conversion and transformation). Students also know new silviculture trends in Europe (close-to-nature, single tree silviculture, ecologically based silviculture), as well as principles and technologies of forestry aimed at production (biomass production).Dovednosti:Students are able to justify and to evaluate practical silvicultural measures, thus they are able to clarify causes and consequences and relations between events which are connected with development of forest ecosystems and their active regulation. Students can apply their theoretical knowledge for solution of practical tasks during forest stand cultivation. Students are able to formulate basic silvicultural strategies and decisions differentiated according to function potential and site-ecological conditions of forest stands (expressed by basic typology units). Students can apply their knowledge in high and top management of forestry companies and state administration.Kompetence - komunikace:Students are able to work under leadership and also in team cooperation. They can formulate, present and defend own opinions, they can share information and ideas; they are able to concretize problems and explain their possible solutions. They are also able to receive and accept relevant suggestions from their professional environment.Kompetence - úsudek:Student is able of creative and initiative work. Students can objectively and critically use relevant data (literature, experience, concrete conditions and expert knowledge) important for problem solution; they bear the responsibility for evaluating and improving of working activities. Student is also able to direct others.
