Cíl

To initiate students into the skills of forestry management in an international environment. To this and Embassy representatives will be asked to speak on operations in thwir own countries. Students will attend these presentations, then submit written reports which will be subject to debate. In addition, students will study the different aspects of forestry in general, with a view to being aware of how forestry frames operate in countries other than their own, not only through direct contact with foreigh nationals but also with government officials and politicians.

Získané způsobilosti

Znalosti:Graduates will have learned the different branches of forestry, its language, classifications and management problems and be able to deal with these. They will also have increased their cultural awareness and integration skills. Students have theoretical knowledge about distribution of forests in the world and about general principles and modern trends of forest management; they know importance of productive as well as nature forest ecosystems and their functions in different countries. They have knowledge about last development of forests and forest management in the Czech Republic and in broader scale of Europe and the world. Dovednosti:Students are able to justify and to evaluate practical forest management, thus they are able to clarify causes and consequences and relations between events which are connected with development of forest ecosystems and their active regulation. Students can apply their theoretical knowledge for solution of practical tasks of forest management. They can creatively differentiate these methods according to function potential and site-ecological conditions of forest stands. Students can apply their knowledge in next study and practice.Kompetence - komunikace:Students are supported in their capacity to undertake further training, to follow professional literature studies and relevant information sources and to assign own requirements for further studies. Students are able to gain new information and evaluate situations in unknown and changing world. They can critically evaluate own knowledge and to determine own information needs.Kompetence - úsudek:Student is able of creative and initiative work. Students can objectively and critically use relevant data (literature, experience, concrete conditions and expert knowledge) important for problem solution; they bear the responsibility for evaluating and improving of working activities. Student is also able to direct others.
