Cíl

The goal of this subject is to provide the students with basic knowledge of physiological requirements of animals including the animal welfare requirements . The subject is focused especially on microclimatic factors influencing the health status and the productivity of farm animals especially in tropics and subtropics. Students are provided with knowledge of traditional ways of animal husbandry, animal keeping and breeding in tropics and subtropics.

Znalosti:Graduates have latest knowledge in the field of zoohygiene and animal disease prevention in tropics and subtropics. They have theoretical understanding of relation patterns between livestock and changing conditions as well as of the principles of the animal health care. Graduates understand theories, conceptions and methods which are concerned in hygiene of buildings, stables, pastures and acompanying welfare conditions of particular animal species. In the view of prevention, they are able to provide decontamination of the environment, disinfection, disinsectization, deratization and liquidation of wastewater and sediments. They have deep knowledge of the legislation on animal health protection and of breeder and veterinary legislation. They are able to assess and to analyse individually the zoohygienic hazards in the breedings of patricular animal species and it empowers them to apply for the enrollment to the postgraduate study programmes.Dovednosti:Graduates are able to apply their knowledge while solving specialized issues in research and can integrate the findings from related fields in practice on the level of small and middle-scaled enterprises within home and less developed countries. They reliably find work as members of management in state or private agricultural enterprises in cooperation with specialized breeder and veterinary service.Kompetence - komunikace:Graduates can manage independently the strategy of precautionary measures, solve the situations (monitorong of the observance of the livestock welfare conditions), control the animals' access to the water resources, apply DDD, arrange the animal transportation, decontamination of the environment. They can also keep the minimalization of economic loss elicited by pathogenic agents.Kompetence - úsudek:Graduates are able to manage and reorganize the working environment, to search independently new strategic approaches in the field of zoohygiene and livestock disease prevention in various world's geographic areas. They can also analyze the findings and evaluate and discuss results in the Master's thesis.
