Cíl

The goals of this subject: to provide information about farm animal's management, microclimate of stables and climatical factors influencing animal health status and their performance. In the second part the methods of asanations are devoted, third part is focused on the prevention of zoonoses and selected the most contagious diseases (O.I.E.).

Znalosti:Graduates have basic knowledge of the breeds of pigs, gallinaceous and water poultry in tropics and subtropics, including the classification according to the utility type. They know relevant breeds of pigs, poultry and paleognath birds not only in the Czech Republic, but especially the breedings of those which are distributed in tropics and subtropics. They are familiar with anatomical and physiological diversity, with management of breeding animals, rearing and fattening of pigs, gallinaceous and water poultry and paleognath birds (ostrich). They are able to asses the welfare conditions as well as basic zoohygiene and precautionary measures in the breedings. They are also focused on the issues related to the pig and poultry production in particular climate with special food requirements and precautative arrangements in the animal production determined to human nutrition in tropical and subtropical areas.Dovednosti:Graduates are able to recognize and to classify particular breeds of pigs and poultry according to individual sorting criteria, they can propose the fundamental form of breeding including management and regarding the animal efficiency. Graduates are able to establish and to manage the pig and poultry farms with an emphasis on their use properties. Considering the characteristics of various breeds, they can assess the origin and evaluate data in connection to National breeding service or the specialists from Ministry of Agriculture.Kompetence - komunikace:Students are able to work in the leadership or in the teamwork focuses on pigs and poultry and the other small farm animals. They can formulate and present their own views and ideas in breeding technologies, specify the problems and suggest possible solutions and they are able to explain special requirement of each species to breed.Kompetence - úsudek:Students are able to rate the healthy status or performance of animals and evaluate the particular breedings of pig and poultry. They are able to use their knowledge and form their opinion.
