Cíl

The course is extending the knowledge of the nutrition and feeding of animals in moderate, tropical and subtropical zones. The main attention is given to feed additives for farm animals, pets, exotic animals and game, and manufacture of the feed additive premixes (vitamin -mineral premixes and concentrates) for feed industry, farmers and little breeders. The special attention is given to optimizing of premixes for whole area of animal production in the tropics and subtropics.

Znalosti:Students have basic knowledge on feed additives used in animal nutrition. They are familiar with the range and physiological effects of these compounds. They have knowledge on manufacturing technologies of important feed additives and their premixes.Dovednosti:Course graduates are familiar with the whole field of feed additives utilization in animal nutrition. They can recommend their correct use to farmers and breeders. They know methods of testing the nutritional effect of feed additives on farm animals.Kompetence - komunikace:Course graduate are able to work under leadership as well as to engage in team cooperation, they can discuss the problem and make decisions by preparation of improved feed rations with feeding additives for domestic animals. They are able to communicate in English language while using expert terminology in animal nutrition. They have ability to formulate and present their own opinions, to pass on information or ideas, specify problem and possible solutions.Kompetence - úsudek:Course graduates are able to approach his work creatively and actively. They are able to utilize important reference sources (scientific literature, databases, experiences of their own and others). They are able to organize and supervise work of inferior workers. Course graduates are able to take responsibility for their decisions in animal feeding and management of working group.
