Cíl

The seminar focuses on research in various fields of ecology and animal behaviour and concerne mostly concrete diploma theses of students. Experts from the field are invited to present their research and also the teachers and Ph.D. students from the Wildlife Management team present their research results to undergraduate students. All students are required to present their diploma projects which is them commented by the auditorium. Scientific seminar is highly interactive.

Znalosti:Students know principles of research designing, procedures and data collection methods. They know principles of oral scientific presentations in front of scientific audience and formalities required for the Diploma thesis submission and defence.Dovednosti:Students are able to provide consistent information about methods and results of their projects. They are able to interpret their results, to confront them with actual scientific knowledge and to discuss strong and weak points of their research. Graduates are able to participate actively at scientific meetings and conferences.Kompetence - komunikace:Graduates gain a personal experience with the verbal demonstration in front of scientific audience. They are skilled in the discussion and the argumentation with opponents.Kompetence - úsudek:Graduates are able to make the critical evaluation of applied methods, analytical procedures and the way of presentation.
