Získané způsobilosti
Znalosti:The objective of the subject is to gain an overview on selected methods in studies of biodiversity, ecosystems and their utilization. The acquirement of monitoring techniques and data collection, the proposal and the interpretation of laboratory and field experiments in order to solute the ecological issues. The familiarization of qualitative and quantitative methods during the collection of invertebrates and vertebrates. In addition, the methods of elaboration and interpretation of data and principles of the reserves selection. Graduates have understanding of general principles of methods in the quantitative research in ecology and ethology. They are familiar with fundamentals of hypotheses testing and so they are able to test relevant hypotheses by the use of basic statistic methods. They know sufficient methods of capturing and marking of animals, both vertebrates and invertebrates. They can get quantitative estimations of populations, prejudge the level of biodiversity and consequently assess the conformity of studies areas to compare and classify the communinties.Dovednosti:Graduates are capable of proposing the appropriate research method as well as suitable method of data collection. They have general knowledge of analytical devices and are able to quantify animal behaviour, to apply various methods of game census in different ecological conditions, to estimate the level of biodiversity, to set the level of conformity and uniqueness of the observed areas.Kompetence - komunikace:Students can communicate with specialists, are able to share relevant information about the results of their research and to explain the methodical principles to general public. They also are familiar with the results interpretation in the context of recently published understanding.Kompetence - úsudek:Students are able to apply theoretical knowledge in particular ecological conditions. They know how to find alternative method in case of diversion from common conditions.
