Získané způsobilosti

Znalosti:Graduates have a comprehensive knowledge about the basic types of plant secondary metabolites, natural products from animals, on physiological effects and ecological functions of these compounds. They have a basic understanding of the physical and chemical properties of natural products, methods of their isolation, analysis, and structure elucidation. Their knowledge includes also methods of testing biological activity of natural products.Dovednosti:Graduates of the course are familiar with the scientific literature and databases and manage common laboratory techniques aimed at the isolation and identification of natural products. They are able to choose an appropriate technique for working with natural product samples. They are able to search in the literature and to extract relevant information that will help them to solve their tasks.Kompetence - komunikace:Course graduates are able to communicate in English and they know well the specialized terminology in the particular field. They should be able to manage and control the work activities or projects and they can lead a working group both in the Czech Republic and abroad.Kompetence - úsudek:Students are able to suggest solutions of problems in the field of natural products based on combination of literature data with the knowledge obtained in the course. Due to the interdisciplinarity of the course, they have a good background in chemistry and biology, phytochemistry and chemotaxonomy.
