Cíl

Hlavním cílem předmětu je zdokonalit schopnost studentů prezentovat diplomové práce především na základě zkušeností kvalifikovaných odborníků z oblastí tropů a subtropů. Výuka během semestru (7týdnů) je rozdělena na 2 části: 1. Prvních 1-3 týdnů výuky se semináře zúčastní externí odborníci v oblasti ekologie, zemědělství, biodiverzity, atd. Tito odborníci se podělí se svými zkušenostmi v oblasti pedagogiky a výzkumu se studenty 4. ročníků. 2. Druhá část semináře (4 týdny) bude věnována prezentacím studentů na témata jejich diplomových prací. Studenti se budou učit, jak správně zpracovat prezentace, budou nad nimi diskutovat a komentovat je (doporučení, přípomínky), což přispěje ke zkvalitnění ústního projevu a přehlednějšímu zpracování prezentací před obhajobou.

Znalosti:Students have advanced knowledge concerning of data preparation, gathering data from professional and scientific literature serving for diploma thesis elaboration. They knows the structure of diploma thesis and formal rules of its individual chapters. They are familiar with ways of scientific work presentations (diploma theses) in front of specialists' committee and with process of a defense.Dovednosti:Students know how to gather information from various sources, elaborate diploma thesis, discuss their results with specialists and defend them successfully. They are able to analyze and evaluate others' presentations.Kompetence - komunikace:Students are able to compile gathered information and results independently and lead others to similar work. They know how to present their results in foreign language using common professional terminology of given topic. They are able to tell own opinions understandably and convincingly to specialists and to public.Kompetence - úsudek:Students are able to utilize and apply information obtained from a variety of sources (professional literature, documents, databases, websites etc.), evaluate results and conclusions of scientific research. They approache to their work creatively and uses her/his own experiences.
