Cíl

Cílem předmětu je seznámit studenty s principy fungování a biofyzikálními limitními faktory ovlivňujícími využívání půdního fondu v tropech a subtropech a představit možné interdisciplinární přístupy a metody výzkumu využití půdního fondu. Předmět je vyučován blokově formou přednášek doplněných o odborné exkurze, praktické prezentace technologií a diskuse k příkladovým studiím na probíraná témata.

Znalosti:Graduates of the course have a background in types of uses of land resources in the tropics and subtropics, principles of functioning and limiting biophysical factors affecting the utilization of land resources. They have an overview of interdisciplinary approaches and appropriate research methods.Dovednosti:The graduates are able to distinguish the basic types of uses of land resources in the tropics and subtropics on the basis of the connection of biological, agroecological, technological and economic aspects of different types of land holdings in mutual relations. They understand the interdisciplinary methodological approaches applied in the research of land resources.Kompetence - komunikace:The graduate is able to work under the leadership and also as a member of the team. He is able to connect the theoretical knowledge and practical experience in the field. He is able to communicate in English, using technical terminology of the subject. He is prepared to formulate and present their own views, clearly communicate information, ideas, specify the problems and possible solutions.Kompetence - úsudek:The graduate is able to work creatively with active approach. He knows how to find and use relevant information sources (literature, taxonomic databases). During the formation of discretion he uses own experience and experiences of other professionals. He is ready to organize and effectively control the work of his subordinates. He is fully accountable for his decisions and activities of the working team he manage.
