Znalosti:Students gain theoretical knowledge in the field of tropical crop production, relating to traditional knowledge and the latest findings in the field. Sturents are able to: identify major crops of mentioned groups, be familiar with their correct scientific and English names, be familiar with origin, distribution, ecological requirements, morphology, systems of cultivation and uses of these crops. Graduates have a critical awareness of the problems in the field. The knowledge of graduates serve as the basis for original thinking and enable them to participate in research.Dovednosti:They can apply their knowledge in practice. Students are able to orientate themselves in the field of tropical crop production and know its advantages and disadvantages. Are able to apply their knowledge in dealing with projects or research on agroforestry. They can use their knowledge in establishment, management, monitoring and evaluation of tropical crop systems.Kompetence - komunikace:Graduates can combine their acquired theoretical and practical knowledge. Students are able to work both under the leadership and the teamwork. They can communicate in English using the specific terminology . They can formulate and present their own views from the fieldand clearly communicate information, ideas, specify the problems, and possible solutions.Kompetence - úsudek:The graduates of the course are able to approach their work creatively and with motivation. For the formation of their opinion they use all relevant information (literature, personal experience, experiences of experts), and are responsible for evaluating and improving their working activities.
