Znalosti:. Students understand the importance of development and poverty reduction strategies in tropical and subtropical areas. They are aware of theoretical aspects of development, pros and cons of different approaches for poverty reduction, appropriated methods for calculation of basic indicators, and, useful databases of topic-involved international and/or regional organizations. . They have the latest knowledge on poverty and development strategies used in rural and agricultural development in tropics and methods for poverty and development assessment at global level. They understand basic terms, relations and theories related to socioeconomic backwardness, poverty alleviation strategies and common praxis of development interventions, particularly at farm-household level. Dovednosti:. Students can use and are able to evaluate appropriateness of different research methods applicable in the field of development and poverty alleviation. . They are able to analyze internal and external factors influencing the efficiency of development and poverty reduction strategies, particularly at micro and meso level. . Based on a given problem from development and poverty reduction strategies they are able to formulate their thoughts and opinions using professional terminology in the form of scientific essay and oral presentation. Kompetence - komunikace:Students are able to argue reasonably and formulate critical judgments based on relevant information. They are able to work effectively and in partnership with other colleagues and experts and they are able effectively communicate their knowledge.Kompetence - úsudek:Students know how to gather, organize and use data from primary and secondary sources. They are able to identify, formulate, and analyze problems and propose and justify solution to them.
