Cíl

Cílem předmětu je seznámení studentů se základními nástroji zahraničně obchodní politiky státu, poskytnutí všeobecného přehledu a znalostí v oblasti obchodu, nastínění globálního pohledu na světovou ekonomiku se zaměřením na problematiku zaostalosti rozvojových zemí a možnostech mezinárodní pomoci.

Znalosti:Graduates have the theoretical knowledge in the field of international trade in relation to the world economy. They understand global market principles and theories, importance of its major components, specifics of foreign trade, payment and delivery terms of countries and have a basic notion of diplomatic relations and political economy. They know the most important commodities, their international value chains and related industries. Their knowledge also covers relation between trade in major commodities, their social and environmental impact and development potential. The theoretical principles facilitate their understanding of the global human society.Dovednosti:Students can use and are able to evaluate appropriateness of different research methods applicable in the field of international trade. They are skilled in practical cross-border business methods and can suggest their use according to the current situation. They can apply their knowledge for creation of their own business plan for cross-border commerce. They are able to analyze developmental impact and propose appropriate use of instruments of states trade policy. They can propose and design international and local value chain analysis methods and possible developmental intervention. Based on a given problem from international trade and its developmental impact they are able to formulate their thoughts and opinions using professional terminology in the form of essay and oral presentation.Kompetence - komunikace:Students develop their communication skills through frequent small group or plenary discussions, practicing giving explanations, listening, questioning, presenting and defending a position and giving constructive feedback. They are able to correctly formulate the fundamental problems in international trade relations, to argue reasonably and formulate critical judgments based on relevant information. They are able to work effectively and in partnership with other colleagues and experts and they are able effectively communicate their knowledge to other specialists in the field. During the two group tasks students develop particularly various group working skill - leadership, planning and organization, giving support and encouragement to other, setting tasks, and monitoring progress. Kompetence - úsudek:They are able to identify, formulate, and analyze problems in the world economy and propose and justify solution to them. They are aware of limitations of their competence in the area and of need to continuously expand their knowledge or skills. Through reading and discussions they can develop their intellectual understanding - mainly by clarifying concepts and theories, and accepting and seeing interrelationships and connections. Through close and focused exchanges with teacher and peers in the classroom, students become aware of the models of thinking, the accepted standards and the values and ethics of the discipline.
