Znalosti:. Students have theoretical knowledge of Agricultural Market Information Services (AMIS) development, structure, management, implementation and operations in rural areas of developing countries and they understand basic effect of such services on rural growth in order to eliminate poverty. In this context students know the main goal, history, role and challenges of AMIS in developing countries. . Students also understand, that information services in the field of dissemination of agricultural information are usually completed by "information system", which serves as a comprehensives tool for data gathering, processing and information dissemination to all stakeholders in rural areas. . They are aware of importance of information transfer to farmers not only in the case how to use appropriate agricultural practices and modern agricultural technologies for improving and increasing agricultural production, but also how to help farmers to sell their produce on local agricultural markets. In this connection the role of Agricultural Market Information Services is very important. * Professional skills: . Students are able to cooperate with agricultural agents (farmers, traders, processor) and will be able to analyze their information requirements and needs. . They are able to design the concept of the information system with internal databases and modules, based on their practical Dovednosti:in database creation and programming for its use in the field of dissemination of agricultural information. . Based on a given problem of information transfer to farmers in developing countries they are able to formulate their opinions using professional terminology and attitude how to assist farmers to commercialize their production on local agricultural markets. * Kompetence - komunikace:Students are able to communicate and discuss topics related to this course with their colleagues and partners in order to establish a good cooperation and apply their knowledge and skills. They are able to apply their knowledge in practice as members of the implementation team of international development projects or as members of international NGOs engaged in consulting activities. * Kompetence - úsudek:Students know how to collect, process, organize and use appropriate data from primary and also secondary sources. Students understand the importance of agricultural information transfer in rural areas and are able to identify and analyze problems and propose their own solution.
