Cíl
The subject is aimed at the processes occurring in aquatic and wetland environments, application of hydrobiology in other science as well as in various human activities connected with water management and at water ecosystems protection and rehabilitation. This includes the basic knowledge of biotic communities of standing as well as flowing waters and wetlands (such as plankton, periphyton, macrophytes, fish, invertebrates) and their ecological characteristics, requirements and their interactions. Also, the subject deals with the use of hydrobiology for the evaluation of surface, drinking and waste waters quality and wastewater treatment and drinking water technologies performance.
