Cíl
The aim is to impress the fundamental rules of scientific work in collecting, processing, interpreting and publication of ecological data. Basic statistic terms and procedures are prerequisited, the course is focused on their application in a row of real situations and cases. The gained knowledge would be useful in own students´ presentations, in their diploma work as well as in critical examination of published results or unpublished (project) applications.

Znalosti:Students understand the difficulties of hypothesis formulation, which are biologically sensefull and they know basic statistical procedures, which can be used while hypotheses testing. They have an overview in essential sources, from which an actual literature can be pumped. They know software for statistical analyzes.Dovednosti:Students work efectivelly with up-to-date literature and on the basis of the bibliographic searches they are able to formulate biologically sensefull hypothesis, which can be statistically tested. They handle a correct actions with data before analyzes and they handle easy statistical prosedures using standardized statistical programs.Kompetence - komunikace:Students respects and handle communication rules in specialized team. He is able to justify in detail actions for problem solving including methodological crags, formulate and defend his own opinion.Kompetence - úsudek:Student understands crags connected with the different approaches in collecting and evaluating the data and is able to critically discuss this topic and propose variant solution.
