Znalosti:Students can orientate in basic and advanced geochemical methods and analytical solutions developed for specific problems and their numerical solutions relevant to fields of geochemistry and Earth System Sciences. Students have knowledge that allows them to correctly understand to different types of geochemical processes occurring in the environment in present and in the past.Dovednosti:Students will be able to practically perform some basic geochemical analysis (determination of alkalinity, and elemental concentrations), and will get hands-on experience on advanced analysis of isotope systems, using ICP-MS approach. They will be able to develop mathematical models of geochemical processes and mathematically constrain the age of earth materials, based on isotope geochronology. They will also learn how to use trace elements and specific isotopes to trace sources and processes within the Earth's environment.Kompetence - komunikace:s Students are able to operate with terms and relations within the framework of large problems in this field. They can work in team and under an expert supervision. Kompetence - úsudek:Students appreciate and respect needs for further education in particular field. They are able to keep track with field information in an effective way and extend their knowledge individually or by team cooperation. Students are able to evaluate information and data independently and creatively concerning temporal and spatial environmental and geochemical processes. They understand them with respect to general physico-chemical bases. Students are able to orientate themselves in dedicated literature and other information sources.
