Znalosti:The students have theoretical and practical knowledge in the subject of geology and prove an understanding of principles and the present state of the sphere. They are able to orient themselves in the framework of the present and historical issues in the context of the Czech republic and the surrounding European environment. They know important research and survey procedures and they are able to get oriented even in resolving unexpected crises situations, they manage to evaluate critically ideas and attitudes which they encounter in the framework of the field. They know how to modify and make more effective, in a creative way, taxonomies, nomenclatures and classifications. They are able to recognize veiled particular interests in the framework of the issues and to differentiate realistic solutions from artificial ones ideologically or economically forced. They master the solutions in a creative manner and to apply them practically and individually. They can broaden their specialization and aim at further possibly required fields or intensify and deepen the present one into the necessary detail.Dovednosti:The graduates are able to critically weigh and appraise conflicting arguments from the aspect of ecology, forestry, water management, landscaping, nature conservation, mineral raw materials extraction, mining law, deposit geology, city planning. territorial planning, agriculture, recreation, sustainable development and further aspects. They know how to decide about a correct and economically suitable perspective of the studied issues. They can take standpoints and solve in a creative manner important issues on regional and supra-regional level. They have a command of methods and procedures used in the field. They know how to discern different degrees of pushing through ideological, religious and power politics particular interests and to reach solutions of problems with people who advance them. They manage to apply principles of management and control of creative activities at local, regional, district, whole-state and even European levels.Kompetence - komunikace:The graduates have an ability to synthesize findings and signals coming from different levels of geological and natural environment , to a certain extent they are able to anticipate the consequences and partially to prevent conflicts. They are able to analyse different specialized approaches and to deduce possible causal chains and final consequences; and that from the viewpoint of the given speKompetence - úsudek:The students master communication in the framework of the specialization at all levels - layman´s, popular, specialized and scientific. They are able to get oriented and set through their opinions even in collectives completely disparate from the point of view of the educational level, type of education, national, ethnic or religious affiliation, sex, employment, age, origin and other.
