Cíl

Lectures are focused on the knowledge of basic characteristics of wetland environment, i.e. chemical processes in water and sediments, wetland vegetation and hydrology. Lectures are aimed at the knowledge of wetland function on the landscape and application of this knowledge for optimal and sustainable use of wetland ecosystems.

Znalosti:Students have a basic knowledge of wetland characterists and their sustainable use. Students have an overview of the basic elements cycles in the aquatic environment, sediments and aquatic and wetland vegetation. Students are familiar with the wetland management. They have an overview of various types of wetlands and their specific values and ecosystem services they provide.Dovednosti:The student is able to determine the type of wetlands based on indicator parameters. The student is able to estimate the value of ecosystem services of particular wetland. Students can identify the proper management in order to achieve sustainable ecosystem.Kompetence - komunikace:Students are able to define their knowledge and opinions. They are able to listen to their colleagues opinions. Students can present the issue to the public. They are able to communicate with experts in the field of water management.Kompetence - úsudek:Students are able to access their work creatively and aggressively. When they work, they use knowledge gained during their study and then study of the recommended literature. Students are able to discuss issues of wetlands, wetland ecology and management.
