The subject is focused on mathematical modeling of flow field and contaminants transport in the planetary boundary layer. Concretes numerical approaches are presented in the context of basic theoretical aspects describing flow in the atmosphere.

Získané způsobilosti

Znalosti:s Using mathematical formulas, students are capable to define the initial nonlinear atmosphere behaviour (or liquids in general). They are familiar with the adaptations of default motional equations leading to specific mathematical applications within the convection modelling and the air pollution transport modelling in the boundary atmosphere layer. Students orientate themselves in the details of modified partial differential equation discretizations by finite volume method in the computational network, and they have knowledge of iterative solution aspects. They have also basic knowledge of the passive pollution dispersion models in the flow field (Gaussian, including "Puff" type model, Lagrangian models). Students are familiar with the practical capabilities of FLUENT software that is suitable for flow and contaminant transport modelling as well as for other technical applications in the atmosphere. Dovednosti:Students are capable to understand the transport processes in the boundary atmosphere layer. They are able to design and realize the model solution of tasks dealing with the flow and pollution transport coming from specified sources, using appropriate software (FLUENT) and next programming tools.Kompetence - komunikace:Students are able to operate with concepts and relations properly within the scope of the Air Pollution Transport course. They can work in cooperation and teamwork under the expert guidance.Kompetence - úsudek:Students are competent to evaluate air pollution data and other information about transport processes in an independent and creative way, and understand the context with the general physical basis. Students are able to orientate themselves in dedicated literature and other information sources.
