Cíl

The course aims to introduce and practise knowledge of research methods which are commonly used to analyse economic phenomena . These tools of quantitative analysis are used to determine an optimal strategy on different levels of national economy, e.g. agri-food sector or company level. Successful passing of the course improves students' ability to analyse an economic topic, to interpret the results and make correct conclusions.

Znalosti:Graduates have theoretical knowledge in the implementation of analytical approaches and quantitative methods. They recognize options and limitations of standard analytical methods. Their knowledge covers analytical approaches, traditional statistical methods. The course develops analytic and synthetic abilities. Acquired knowledge may be used as a basis for original thinking and creates basic assumptions for their participation in research. Graduates have critical knowledge about issues of economic phenomena and processes analysis. The knowledge enables them to work in the areas of analytical and information decision support positions of middle and top management. Graduates have clear understanding of limits of their knowledge and good idea of further study in this area.Dovednosti:Graduates can apply analytical and synthetic skills and abilities in the area of decision-making process of economic subjects to solve their economic problems. They can solve even non-structures problems in an independent way.Kompetence - komunikace:They can efficiently work in analytical teams and cooperative with qualified professionals. They can share information understandably.Kompetence - úsudek:They have abilities of analysis and synthesis that enable them to sort and process information, determine their relevancy and gain a non-trivial vire of economic problems and ways to solve them.
