Cíl

The aim of the course ids to supply a concise insight into the development, functioning and institutions of the EU Special attention is paid to the Common Agricultural Policy nd Structural Policy of the EU. The course is taght in co-operation with visiting lectures from another EU country. Lectures are combined with seminar discussions, using .ppt techniques and Internet. Students prepare individual essays to the given topics.

Znalosti:Graduates have theoretical knowledge in the area of integration processes. They are well acquinted with individual stages of European integration process and institutional structure of the EU. They know principles and freedoms that provide basis of the EU. They understand common and community policies. Their knowledge includes functioning of the common market, European monetary policy and processes related to European budgeting. Students acquire knowledge about Common Agricultural Policy and understand functions of regional policies. They understand problems of European foreign affairs in connection to foreign, security policies as well as European foreign trade.Dovednosti:Graduates are able to apply their knowledge practically. They can handle in a professional way practical application of studied problems. They can better understand functions of governemnt and are able to introduce consequences of individual governmental policies upon profit and nonprofit spheres of the economy. They are able also to evaluate feedback effects of individual policies. They are able to propose effective measures within the public finance. They are able to react to changes in government policies in the economic area and prepare organization or NGO for these changes. When solving compex and unpredictable problems, they use professional approach and use innovative methods, tools and supportive arguments.Kompetence - komunikace:Graduates can communicate their judgements and conclusions to professionals as well to general public.Kompetence - úsudek:Graduates are able to merge broad knowledge in the area of economic policies. They are able to formulate their judgement with missing or incomplete information taking into account social and ethical responsibility. They are able to introduce impacts of individual measures in a broader context.
