Themes related to each of the primary texts and postmodern theory and criticism. Specific themes to be announced before the course and developed during the course.
Získané způsobilosti
A general knowledge of postmodern literary theory and deeper insight into a few seminal theoretical texts. A general review knowledge of postmodern fiction, especially fiction written in the U.S. Deep, analytical knowledge of the required primary texts in the course as the best representative texts for a course such as this. Further developed reading, writing, and literary-analytical skills.

Požadavky
At least four short Response Papers will be assigned during the semester. These are 1-2-page papers that respond to the reading done for class. Each student will also do at least one presentation during the class, which will replace the Response Paper that week. Ideally students will do more than one presentation, but this depends on the size of the class.A Term Paper will be due at the end of the course of 1500-3000 words on a topic of the student?s choice. Attendance at class meetings is required; a maximum of 3 absences is allowed during the semester.
