Specific themes under the more general descriptors Narrative Theory, Narratology, the Novel, and the Theory of the Novel will be announced before the course and developed during the course. A good part of the course will also involved guided application of narrative criticism.

Požadavky

A Term Paper will be due at the end of the course of 1500-3000 words. The Term Paper must perform a study of the narrative in a literary work that is not addressed during the course. Attendance at class meetings is required; a maximum of 3 absences is allowed during the semester.During the course there may be quizzes or exams on narrative and narratology. These will be announced well in advance and will be based on the content addressed in class meetings.
