Content of lectures:Programming language S and program R. Overview of classical regression analysis, regression diagnostics. Generalized linear models (link function, analysis of deviance, AIC). GLM for counts and dimensions, log-linear models. GLM for probabilities and fractions. Loess smoother and generalized additive models (GAM). Classification and regression trees (CART). Spatial statistics - point processes.Content of practicals:The theoretical and practical parts of this course are interleaved, they are not temporarily separated. Practical examples relate to the theory discussed in the particular week.
