Cíl
The objective of the seminar is to discuss morphology and syntaxsystematically, but with emphasis on practical use of English wordand sentence structure, especially as compared to correspondingstructures in Czech. The material used in the seminar will beL. G. Alexander's Longman English Grammar (1988) and hand-outsprovided in classes. The course makes use of Sylvia Chalker's workbook 'A Student's Grammar of English'.Students will be able to understand the nuances of English grammar and will be able to apply their skills in practice. As a result, they will increase their proficiency in English.
