Cíl
The aim of the course is to give students an idea of what it is like to be a translator working for the EU. Terminology mining and IATE feeding are the main focus for this term (Spring 2014) in co-operation with EP TermCoord. First-hand experience will be shared by PhD students who participated in EU internships.

1st meeting: 24.2.Discussion of materials studied prior to meeting in class (i.e. IATE Handbook and IATE Input Manual available from ELF). Questions and answers.2nd meeting: 10.3.First results of practical term extraction - submitted before meeting.3rd meeting: 24.3.Dealing with problems of the chosen domains. Individual feedback. Communication with EP TermCoord.4th meeting: 7.4.More problem-solving activities and input. Information about possible outcomes.5th meeting: 5.5.Finalizing the input - following the feedback from the EP TermCoord unit.
