At the end of this course students should be able to understand the principles of early christian art which had resulted from the context of previous art of greek and roman pagan Antiquity and of its language. They should be acquainted with the early christian iconography, art of catacombs, with iconography of sarcophagi, architecture and mosaic decoration of early christian churches to the seventh century A. D.
