Cíl
The aim of this course is to provide students with a means for developing and extending their use of English with particular emphasis on English related to teaching.It focuses on the English needed in the classroom, for studying the EFL teaching and learning, for participating in teacher development and teacher-training courses, conferences, workshops etc.The framework of the course is based upon a book called "English for the Teacher" (see Literature below), which is a language improvement course for teachers of English as a Foreign Language piloted successfully in various parts of the world with a range of different teachers.At the end of this course, students should have practiced and improved their classroom language as well as the English used in the EFL/ESL/TEFL/TESOL theoretical discourse. They should be able to interpret materials in English for professional development of teachers and make reasoned decisions about their teaching based on theory and practice.
Osnova
Units 1-6 from English for the Teacher will be covered during the 1st semester of the course.
