Cíl
The aim of the course is to increase the competitive advantage of the students on the job market and improvement of their communicative skills.Through the careful analysis of the selected variety of video clips (news reports, TV dramas, TV sitcoms) from the US and UK media, the students will understand the specific forms of the English language used for different types of discourse.At the end of the course, the students will be able to understand the main differences between the US and UK English used in the certain media (news reporting and entertainment TV programs).The students will also be able to apply the acquired information in everyday discourse and to prepare an individual presentation using the right register.
