Cíl

Translation Theory Seminar will cover the most influential secondary literature and studies dealing with English translation theories /see bellow/.At the end of the course students should be able to:understand the basic terms of equivalence based on the theory of invisible translation;learn more about the essential history of English translations, mostly the translations of Bible;analyse the translation texts and apply the theoretical knowledge of textual equivalence;understand and analyse the changing style of modern translations and understand the reasons for the need of modern translation theories in the whole linguistic concepts;Throughout the semester students are encouraged to link theory in the classroom to practice via practical tasks.

AJPV_UTPR Úvod do teorie překladu A Úroveň pokročilosti anglického jazyky B2-C1 (dle Evropského referenčního rámce).Studium navazuje na Úvod do teorie překladu a k úspěšnému zvládnutí je nutné absolvovat první část tohoto kurzu.
