Cíl

At the end of the course, students should be able to:- understand and explain: 1. the different kinds of existing EU agencies, their main characteristics and their positions in the EU institutional landscape; 2. the powers they are entrusted in and their limits, especially as to their accountability;- assess the creation of new agencies or the empowerment of existing agencies against the existing legal background and understand the related case law (if any);- work with information involving agencies: from the agencies themselves, from the Court of auditors, from the parliamentary committees…;- refer to the activities of the pertinent EU agency (if any) when analyzing a EU policy;and also- show curiosity about the jobs offered by the agencies
