Získané způsobilosti

Student má přehled o nejvýznamnějších autorech americké literatury od koloniálního období až po přelom 19. a 20. století. Zároveň umí charakterizovat jednotlivé literární směry, které zasáhly do vývoje americké literatury. Dokáže interpretovat vybraná literární díla a zařadit je do amerického i světového literárního kontextu. Rozvíjí schopnost analytického i syntetického myšlení, a to jak v ústním, tak i písemném projevu. Rovněž rozvíjí schopnost estetického vnímání uměleckého textu.
