Požadavky

Class time will be devoted to lectures and discussion. Lecture will cover theoretical material and applications, and seminar hour will be devoted to solve a specific problem. 'Quality' participation also implies that you contribute in a number of ways to discussion activities, which will include discussing, readings, research projects, key concepts, walking city centre tour etc. If you own a laptop, please consider bringing it to class. No late assignments will be accepted without prior arrangement. Make-up exams will be given only for approved excused absences.Your final grade for the course will be made up of the following components, and will be evaluated according to the criteria outlined below:1.Class assignments (10 of 12 are required).2.Walking city centre tour (mandatory).3.Project: You are required to select of one these following topics: 1. Post-communist city profile, 2. Process(es) of spatial differention and spatial planning in a post-communist city, 3. Changes in urban spatial structure of a post-communist city. For this project you will be required to work in groups. Every group is required to hand in its own written report for this project. Project will be due at the beginning of final exam.4.Final written exam will cover a theoretical backround of three selected topics and oral discussion of your report.You can expect grades according to the following scale:50 % - 65 %.....3 (D)66 % - 84 % = 2 (B, C)85 % and more = 1 (A).
