Získané způsobilosti

By completing the course, students will understand the main features of post-war Central European Politics. They will understand the nature of communist regimes, the process of democratic transition and consolidation, current Central European political systems and party systems. The students are supposed to analyse these issues and events and to compare the situation in various countries in the region.

Požadavky

Main requirements:a) Regular attendance and participation. While attendance at lectures is strongly recommended, the participation in seminars is required. b) Readings and tasks - students are expected to read assigned materials prior to seminars and be ready to discuss them. Students will be also given other tasks - details on compulsory reading and tasks to be specified at the website of the Department of Politics for each semester.c) Exam - the exam will be written. The exam will be based on lectures, seminars and compulsory readings.
