Snyder, Microeconomic Theory: Basis Principles and Extensions, South- WesternSchotter, Microeconomics: A Modern Approach, South-Western 2009 The primer text covers all main topics covered in the lectures. Any extensions presented at the lectures and not available in the Varian textbook can be downloaded from Moodles (http://dl1.cuni.cz/course/category.php?id=44).It is important that students get familiar with Moodles. It will be a platform where you can download the lecture slides, tasks for seminars, learn your grade and discuss the concepts with other students. You will also upload your home assignments via Moodles. The login to the course is "micro".

Požadavky

During the semester, there will be four home assignments which should be prepared individually (not in groups) and handed out in electronic form via Moodles. The assignments will be similar to numerical exercises presented at the seminars, but will be of higher difficulty. The final grade will consist of three parts. In total, you can get 100 points.Four assignments (5 points each, in total 20 points)Midterm exam (20 points)Final exam (60 points). The final exam will have two parts: (a) theory (30 points) and (b) calculation of exercises (30 points). In order not to fail the course you need to obtain at least 15 points from each part of the final exam. Grading:A: 85-100B: 70-84.9C: 60-69.9F: 0-59.9 Midterm exam: November 5th, 2015, 8:00-9:20am.There will be one midterm exam only. If you cannot attend the midterm exam you will be requested to provide confirmation that your health condition prevented you from attending it. There will be three dates for the final exam:December 17th, 2015, 9:30-10:50amJanuary 14th, 2016, 9:30-10:50amFebruary 11th, 2016, 9:30-10:50am
