Introductory lecture in second half of March (see term upstairs) is mandatory. E-learning lessons are the next step. Consultations are available through WhatsApp, Skype and Facebook. Personal consultations are available too, but Dr. Streda´s working place is Department ef eHealth and Telemedicine of the 1st Medical Faculty, which is located in City of Kladno. Not in Prague! Credits will be issued to students who will attend introductory lecture, will watch all video-lectures and reply questions under videos and will submit 2-5 pages of expert essay on assigned topic. E-learning lessons are published on this website:http://www.streda.com/english-leos-streda/cosmetology-lectures/Just click on the link above and u will get directly there. Objectives:The course is an overview of medical regeneration, cosmetics and medical aesthetic disciplines focused primarily on instrumentation and aparatuses used in these disciplines. Introduces practical treatment fundamentals (concepts, tools, procedures). It teaches the technique and technology of medical aesthetics inetrventions (aesthetic surgery, aesthetic and corrective dermatology), medical regenetration and cosmetics. Students are familiar with basic methods, therapeutic areas and the practical possibilities of instrumental modes. Accent is on learning the theoretical principles and practical applications of medical devices used in the medici regeneration, cosmetics and aesthetic medicine. Projects are focused on videopresentation in Youtube. Tutorials (online workshops) are concerned with the evaluation of practical experience, supplemented by chat discussion with experts in the field. During self study students learn principles, indications and practical application of the most used apparatuses for the field. Anotation: The concept of medical regeneration, cosmetics, aesthetic medicine disciplines (aesthetic surgery, corrective and aesthetic dermatology). Accent is placed on practical applications with most widespread devices exploitable in biomedical engineering. Students learn basic physiological principles necesary for regeneration, cosmetics and medical aestetics principles understanding and following healthy lifestyle knowledges. Video presentation focused especially on mechanical devices (peeling, dermabrasion, suction treatment, pneumatic, masages), electrostimulation apparatuses (myostimulation, passive electrogymnastics, bio-electric rejuvenation), ultrasound and heat apparature (euthermic treatment, cryotherapy), invasive electrotherapy devices (electrotomy, electrocoagulation, electrolysis), phototherapeutic (invasive and non-invasive lasers, intense pulsed light-IPL, visible incoherent polarized light, fotonyx). Acquired knowledges are useful in the follow-up studies focused on medical instrumentation. Lectures outline: 1. Medical regeneration and cosmetic, aesthetic surgery and aesthetic and corrective dermatology description. A summary of the necessary anatomical and physiological knowledges. Overview of equipment used in those medical disciplines. 2. Analytical instruments in cosmetology (skin turgor analysis, dermatoscope, microscopic trichology, somatest). Skin diseases and skin defects. Plastic surgery indications. Functional diagnostic in regeneration. Effect of physical work. 3. Regeneration forms, their sub-dividing, regeneration instruments, the daily regime.Physiatry, mechanotherapy, thermotherapy, hydrotherapy, phototherapy, ultrasound, electrotherapy, magnetic therapy and psychotherapy in the medical recovery. Apparature equipment in regeneration procedures. 4. Overview of interventions in medical cosmetics, aesthetic and corrective dermatology, their brief description. Construction of the skin barrier function and skin penetration of active ingredients in cosmetics. 5. Effective cosmetic treatment (iontophoresis, termophoresis, ultrasound, fotonyx) apparatuses. Appliances in medical cosmetology and cosmetics (ozonation, electronic lifting, biostimulation lasers, visible incoherent polarized light, monochromatic and quasi-monochromatic phototherapy). 6. Skin adnexa (appendages) and thein instrumentality. Apparatuses for cosmetic treatment of skin appendages: hair laser, nails high frequency currents treatment (d'Arsonvalisation), phototherapy, sweat glands iontophoresis, sebaceous glands ozonation. Unwanted hair and apparatuses for their removal - electrocoagulation, electrolysis, high frequency, laser hair removal, intense pulse light (IPL). 7. Aesthetic and corrective dermatology I. The visual defects of the skin. Mechanical and chemical peeling, dermabrasion, sclerotization, electrocoagulation, erbio and CO2 lasers. Skin aging, Hayflick´s limit, anti aging systemic therapy (antioxidants, multiplication of collagen, and laser and incoherrent visible light rejuvenation, electronic lifting, fotonyx, plasma rejuvenation). 8. Aesthetic and corrective dermatology II. Mezolift (mesotherapy), botox treatment, surgical dermatology zároky (eyebrow-lift, blepharoplasty), lipofiling. Tattooing, removal and corrective tattooing (permanent make-up). 9. Body shape aestetics, overweight and slimming regimes. Structure and composition of the human body. Nutrition. Diagnosis of overweight, a statistical evaluation of the degree of obesity. Formation and the risk of obesity. Energy balance, healthy lifestyle. Fitness, wellness, physical activity, equipment. Diets overview. 10. Weight reduction and body shape. Body building, fitness equipment, devices for passive gymnastics. Nutrition, metabolism, obesity and modern lifestyle, slimming regimes. Lifestyle in terms of disease prevention. Prevention and eHealth (telemedicíne). 11. Devices for body forming, Electrolipolysis, ultrasonic liposuction, myostimulation (elektrobodytoning) euthermic systems, vacuum massage and passive electrogymnastics. 12. Medical and aesthetic complications of overweight, cellulite, stretch marks. Problems of cellulite, its anatomical and physiological causes. Lymphatic system.
